Guess What I Found? (If You Find Me)

I took this April 8 2013. I reviewed this book and it is fabulous. Dark themes. Realistic characters. The book is still so fresh in my mind. The scenes are burned into my mind. I highly recommend it to readers who have a high capacity for dark themes and mature storylines. It's sad. It'll break your heart. It will remind you that the world isn't all unicorns and rainbows.

You can purchase it now, and if you can, go buy it. If not, ask for it at your local library!

Brief Hiatus (Ontario Writers' Conference 2013)

I recently went to the Ontario Writers' Conference, held on May 4 2013 in Ajax, Ontario.

This is what I looked like,
just in case you met me.

Had my name and everything.

Amazing workshops, speakers, and other attendees. And food. They were feeding us delicious food every five minutes. Like last year, I met amazing people. I don't get to mingle with other aspiring writers often, especially ones who are actually committed to the craft.

While I was there, I was presented with an amazing opportunity. I have worked very hard for the last five years to get such recognition. What does this have to do with the blog where I review other people's works? I just wont have the time, for the time being. Give me at least a month. This task will take all my free time, and rightfully so. When I come back I'll be reviewing published works rather than Netgalley ARCs. Not that there is anything wrong with them, but I also want to review books that are available right now as opposed to in the future so I can help libraries and teens make informed decisions on what to buy.

We also went to Niagara Falls.
Yay me for being really pale on camera!

So this is not a goodbye, rather, a be right back. Remember, a fox might leave, but they'll come back to the scene of the crime!

Just to prove that I am, in fact, a fox.
